The Coffer Group has launched – the new look of the UK’s first fully integrated leisure property advisory business is unveiled.

The leisure property industry’s first fully-integrated advisory business has been launched.

The Coffer Group combines the UK’s leading agency and corporate advisory leisure property businesses, Davis Coffer Lyons (DCL) and Coffer Corporate Leisure. DCL was established 36 years ago and deals exclusively with leisure property. CCL is the only dedicated corporate and M&A advisor to the broad leisure industry and is built on more than 30 years’ experience in the sector.

Chairman of The Coffer Group is David Coffer, the leading figure in the UK leisure property industry. He has worked in the business for four decades and has handled some £1bn worth of transactions, giving him unrivalled insight and sector knowledge.

Based on the track record of its two main divisions, DCL and CCL, the Group has a wealth of client experience having worked with all the biggest names in the sector.

The Group’s recent deal experience includes the sale of Covent Garden Restaurants, the £70m sale and leaseback of Orchard Care Homes, the sale of Hamburger Union, and advising on the £100m investment in Printworks, Manchester. The Group has also overseen the sale of Caprice Holdings, Little Chef, Ronnie Scott’s and the high-profile acquisitions of The Wolseley, J Sheekey, St Alban and Patisserie Valerie.

The Coffer Group has ambitious expansion plans, based on organic growth and through acquisitions. Existing specialist teams, covering agency, corporate advisory, disposals, acquisitions, pubs, valuations, landlord and tenant, and investments, will be expanded further and the Group’s activities in the sector will be reinforced with the establishment of a specialist hotel team and the creation of a finance division.

A major branding exercise has also been completed to unify the identities of the main divisions and deliver a fresh, authoritative corporate profile for the new Group.

“I am delighted at the launch of The Coffer Group, Europe’s foremost leisure property hub,” said David Coffer.

“The company combines the unrivalled agency experience of Davis Coffer Lyons and corporate expertise of Coffer Corporate Leisure. I have ambitious growth plans for the Group that will take us overseas and we will continue to be a powerful force in the sector for decades to come.”
