Camden’s Barfly Sold for £5million

Barfly, the iconic, boutique London music venue in Camden, has been sold for £5 million by Coffer Corporate Leisure, reflecting a Net Initial Yield of 4.36%.

The property, located on Chalk Farm Road, is let to live venue and artist management company, MAMA Group, owned by Live Nation, was sold by a private investor to Market Tech Holdings.

Lawrence Telford, Director, Coffer Corporate Leisure said: “As one of the Capital’s most recognisable music venues and in a highly competitive leisure investment market, we had no doubt Barfly would attract significant interest from a range of domestic and international buyers. Popular London fringe locations are seeing a surge in values, particularly for iconic venues, both on an investment basis or for trading entities with vacant possession. This shows no signs of easing, and is in fact one of several leisure property deals in Camden we have advised on recently, including the Wagamama and KOKO – the former Camden Palace Theatre.”
